The UK Temporary Work – Seasonal Worker visa is intended for individuals with job offers in the UK to perform seasonal work in horticulture or poultry production. This visa allows you to work in the UK for a specified period, depending on the type of work.
Horticulture Workers: Can stay in the UK for a maximum of six months within any 12-month period.
Poultry Production Workers: Can stay from no earlier than 2 October to no later than 31 December each year.
This visa does not provide a route to settlement, and dependents such as partners and children cannot accompany you on this visa.
Requirements for a UK Temporary Work – Seasonal Worker Visa
To qualify for the UK Temporary Work – Seasonal Worker visa, you must meet the following criteria:
Age: You must be aged 18 or over.
Certificate of Sponsorship: You need a valid Certificate of Sponsorship from a Home Office-approved sponsor detailing your role. Note that if you are applying for a poultry production role, you must submit your application by 15 November each year.
Job Role: Your work must fall within the eligible categories of horticulture or poultry production.
Financial Requirement: You must have at least £1,270 in personal savings held for 28 days before your application, or your employer must confirm they will cover your costs for the first month in the UK.
Visa Fees and Health Charge: You need to have paid the visa application fee and the Immigration Health Charge, and provided any required biometric information.
General Grounds for Refusal: Your application must not fall under any of the general grounds for refusal.
