Science and Academia Visit Visa
The Science and Academia Visit Visa is for scientists, researchers, and academics who wish to visit the UK to undertake permitted unpaid scientific or academic activities for up to 6 months or, for certain academics, up to 12 months.
This visa is a sub-category of the Standard Visitor route, allowing temporary stays in the UK. It does not lead to settlement, and each visitor must apply separately, even when traveling as part of a group.
Requirements for a Science and Academia Visit Visa
To qualify for a Science and Academia Visit Visa, you must satisfy UK Visas & Immigration that:

You genuinely intend to visit the UK for purposes permitted by the visitor routes.
You will not engage in any prohibited activities.
You have sufficient funds to cover all reasonable costs for your visit (including travel, maintenance, and accommodation) without working or accessing public funds.
You will leave the UK at the end of your visit.
You will not reside in the UK for extended periods through frequent or successive visits or make the UK your main home.
Your application does not fall under the general grounds for refusal.
You have obtained an Electronic Travel Authorisation, if required.
The specific requirements may vary depending on your circumstances. Consulting an immigration lawyer for expert advice is recommended.
