The Permitted Paid Engagement (PPE) Visit Visa is available to certain professionals and experts who wish to visit the UK to undertake a paid engagement related to their expertise and occupation.
This visa does not lead to settlement in the UK, and each visitor must apply separately, even when traveling as part of a group.
Requirements for a Permitted Paid Engagement Visit Visa
To qualify for a Permitted Paid Engagement Visit Visa, you must satisfy UK Visas & Immigration that:
You are at least 18 years old.
You are a visa national (non-visa nationals can typically seek entry upon arrival at the UK border).
You intend to undertake one (or more) of the permitted paid engagements specified in the Immigration Rules.
Your permitted paid engagement is pre-arranged, evidenced by a formal invitation from a UK-based organization or client, and relates to your area of expertise and occupation overseas.
You intend to complete your permitted paid engagement within 30 days of your entry to the UK.
You will not engage in any prohibited activities.
You have sufficient funds to cover all reasonable costs for your visit (including travel, maintenance, and accommodation) without working or accessing public funds.
You will leave the UK at the end of your visit.
You will not reside in the UK for extended periods through frequent or successive visits or make the UK your main home.
Your application does not fall under the general grounds for refusal.
You have obtained an Electronic Travel Authorisation, if required.
