Permitted Paid Engagement (PPE) Visit Visa

The Permitted Paid Engagement (PPE) Visit Visa is available to certain professionals and experts who wish to visit the UK to undertake a paid engagement related to their expertise and occupation.

This visa does not lead to settlement in the UK, and each visitor must apply separately, even when traveling as part of a group.

Requirements for a Permitted Paid Engagement Visit Visa

To qualify for a Permitted Paid Engagement Visit Visa, you must satisfy UK Visas & Immigration that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.

  • You are a visa national (non-visa nationals can typically seek entry upon arrival at the UK border).

  • You intend to undertake one (or more) of the permitted paid engagements specified in the Immigration Rules.

  • Your permitted paid engagement is pre-arranged, evidenced by a formal invitation from a UK-based organization or client, and relates to your area of expertise and occupation overseas.

  • You intend to complete your permitted paid engagement within 30 days of your entry to the UK.

  • You will not engage in any prohibited activities.

  • You have sufficient funds to cover all reasonable costs for your visit (including travel, maintenance, and accommodation) without working or accessing public funds.

  • You will leave the UK at the end of your visit.

  • You will not reside in the UK for extended periods through frequent or successive visits or make the UK your main home.

  • Your application does not fall under the general grounds for refusal.

  • You have obtained an Electronic Travel Authorisation, if required.

The specific requirements may vary depending on your circumstances. Consulting an immigration lawyer for expert advice is recommended.
